Abstract:
The President's Annual Report for Valdosta State College for July 1, 1969 - June 30, 1970 covers the ongoing changes on campus as the new decade begins. President Martin praises the "professional competence" of the faculty, but complains that the younger faculty members tend to show "indifference" towards their work. Student academic deficiencies are attributed to the "general unrest throughout the Country." The Schools and Divisions of Business Administration, Education, Fine Arts, Nursing, Arts and Sciences, and Graduate studies are created and implemented July 1, 1970. The construction of the new library is well underway. Faculty and student engagement in the local community is highlighted.
