dc.description The dissertation, "Factors Influencing the Acceptance of Collaboration Technology within the Context of Virtual Teamwork Training," by Joy Jones Godin. en_US
dc.description.abstract The purpose of this dissertation was to identify the factors that influence electronic collaboration technology acceptance and predicted usage for virtual team collaboration projects in higher education courses. The research combined the unified theory of acceptance and usage of technology (UTAUT) with a virtual team training model. The method of investigation was a cross-sectional study with 108 participants. Each participant completed a survey following their participation in virtual team training. Ten hypotheses were tested using a structural equation modeling technique, partial least squares. Five of the hypotheses were supported and five were not supported. The results indicated that three of the four UTAUT constructs were significant in predicting if the participants would use the collaboration technology in the future. Additionally, the findings revealed that the participants had a positive perception of the virtual teamwork training. en_US
