dc.description.abstract High school students should understand and adhere to a school's digital policies, such as Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), cell phone policy, and copyright procedures. Digital citizenship means students will use technology responsibly and with good manners. Noticing students' noncompliance (maybe lack of knowledge) with these policies at our school, I created a multimedia tutorial that teaches these policies and used it in required computer applications classes with grade 9-12 students. Differences between pretest and posttest scores showed an increase in awareness of digital policies. An analysis of pre- and post-intervention student surveys indicated a positive change in attitude toward cell phone policy and etiquette. Discipline records and teacher interviews charted one month before and after the tutorial indicated improvement in practice of digital policies. Using a multimedia tutorial to increase awareness, change attitudes, and improve practice of school digital policies appeared to be effective in this action research study. en_US
