Georgia Architectural and Historic Properties Survey of 809 Gainey St., Valdosta, Ga., December 1980. One story house of irregular plan. Multi-gabled tin roof, exposed rafters and brackets. Gabled porch with tapered square posts. Asbestos siding. Modern windows. Fair condition. Date of Construction: App. 1905-1915. Part of an area which possibly developed as housing for the millworkers of the Valdosta Mill Company in the early 1900's. Not significant in terms of a N.R. district. Too many structures have been town down in the area.
