My Dear Father,
Yours of the 7th & 9th sent from Pitman were received a few days ago, and as several are going down tomorrow from the 40th I have concluded to write. Although the monotony of camp is such that one can scarcely anything of interest from which to lay the basis of a letter, much less build it up.
