Georgia Architectural and Historic Properties Survey of 806 Gainey St., Valdosta, Ga., December 1980. One story house of rectangular plan, hipped tin roof; shed porch with square posts. Shiplap siding. Interior chimney. Set on brick piers. Fair condition. Double hung sash windows with 2/2 lights. Date of Construction: App. 1910-1920. Part of an area which possibly developed as housing for millworkers at the Valdosta Mill Company in the early 1900's. Not significant in terms of a N.R. district - too many structures have been torn down in the area.
