Abstract

Georgia Architectural and Historic Properties Survey of Rural [268] Ga. Highway 376 / southeast corner of county, Valdosta, Ga. December 1980. Two story house with gabled, tin roof and exposed rafters. Square porch posts. Chinked log. Shuttered sash windows with 6/6 lights. Exterior chimney. Set on brick piers. Fair condition. Date of Construction: unknown. This house and land are a part of River Bend Plantation, formed in the late 1800's. Covers thousands of acres in the southeast portion of the county. One of the only log houses we've seen in Brooks County, and is the only 2 story one.
