Abstract

Georgia Architectural and Historic Properties Survey of Academy Ave., Sycamore, Turner County, Ga., 1981. Large rectangular house plan with multi-gabled tin roof. Center of house is covered with a flat roof. Shed porch surrounds the house on 3 sides. It is supported by double columns set on brick piers (see photo). Shiplap siding. Double sash windows with 1/1 lights. Brick piers. Interior chimneys. Original screen doors with Victorian elements. Original doors with oval beveled glass windows. Good condition. Date of Construction: N/A. Not significant as part of a potential National Register historic district. Area of older structures not extensive enough.
