Abstract

In the ATC Spring Mysteries Festival, which is based on the Eleusinian Mysteries of ancient Greece, The Lesser Mysteries of Demeter were the first level of initiation in which the initiates, known as Mystai, were introduced to the story of Demeter and Persephone. Every participant went through the ritual drama of the Lesser Mysteries in their first and subsequent years of attendance. They received a yellow ribbon to signify their status as Mystai on their first year.
