Abstract

Georgia Architectural and Historic Properties Survey of Quitman [361] 909 E. Screven, Valdosta, Ga. December 1980. Rectangular plan house with hipped, gabled roof. Brackets in eaves. Clapboard siding. Interior chimney. Sash windows with 1/1 lights. Shed porch. Transom over doors. Double doors. Set on brick piers. Good condition. Date of Construction: c. 1905-1915. This area developed by middle class residents from app. 1910-1930. Not significant as part of a potential National Register historic district, because there are not enough houses of historical value in the area.
