Georgia Architectural and Historic Properties Survey of 801 Gainey (Gaynor) St., Valdosta, Ga., December 1980. One story saddlebag house. Gabled tin roof. Shed porch with turned spindle posts. Shiplap siding. Interior chimney. Set on brick piers. Double hung sash windows with 2/2 lights. Poor condition. Date of Construction: App. 1900. Typical saddlebag house; a part of this area which possibly developed in the early 1900's as housing for millworkers. Not significant in terms of a N.R. district. Too many structures have been town down in the area.
