Abstract
Letters of General Joseph R. Hawley to Charles Dudley Warner, The Hartford Daily Times, December 05, 1929. The difficulties about Warner’s coming to Hartford dissipated themselves. In response to Hawley’s January 27th letter, Warner made his decision and announced it to his friends. On February 3rd, Hawley wrote of his pleasure. He began to plan for Warner’s trip and promised to send letters of introduction to the Connecticut senators and representatives so that Warner might stop off there on his way. He wanted him to meet Charles Sumner, senator from Massachusetts also.
