Georgia Architectural and Historic Properties Survey of Macedonia Baptist Church, 715 Jackson St., Valdosta, Ga. December 1980. Large two story church building of rectangular plan, gabled roof; two square bell towers; one on left taller. (Pointed tin roofs). Main entrance on second floor. Windows are pointed arches with stained glass. Some casement windows. Brick. Good condition. Date of Construction: 1913. One of the oldest organized churches in Valdosta. Present building constructed in 1913. Church organized in 1865 as the Macedonia First African Baptist Church. Reverend Charles Anderson was first pastor.
