Abstract
Georgia Architectural and Historic Properties Survey of Rural [277] About 7 miles south of Quitman, Valdosta, Ga. December 1980. Rectangular plan house with hipped, tin roof. Shed porch with turned spindle posts and gingerbread trim. Shiplap siding. Sash windows with 2/2 lights. Set on brick piers. Fair condition. Date of Construction: c. 1900. This is located in a little community which possibly served as a railroad stop. There are just a few houses surviving. Significant because it is a typical vernacular house built around the turn of the century like so many others in Brooks Co.
