Charles Albert Converse Papers, 1939-1940

Charles Albert Converse (1904-1940) was a Foreign Service Officer in the United States Department of State, posted at the United States Embassy in London. Charles and his family were evacuated during the London Blitz of 1940. Charles Converse was soon after hospitalized in Washington D.C., where he died at the age of 35.
