Abstract:
Georgia Architectural and Historic Properties Survey of Rural [254] Valdosta, Ga. December 1980. Named: Dixie Plantation. A one story long rectangular plan with gabled tin roof and clapboard siding. Shed porch with square posts. Sash windows with 6/6 lights. Interior chimneys and exterior chimneys. Good condition. Carriage house, stables, cattle. Date of Construction: c. 1902. According to Mr. Jim Loudermilk, the plantation was developed by a Mr. Livingston who had holdings in North Florida and South Georgia. After his death, he left the plantation to his daughters. The main house is located in Jefferson County, FLA, about one or two miles south of the Georgia line.
