Abstract:
The President's Annual Report for Valdosta State College for the fiscal year 1966-1967 was President Martin's first annual report. Dr. Thaxton's retirement is addressed and a new Dean of College and Dean of Students is appointed. President Martin states his desire for more faculty research and publications and complains that most of the faculty is content with the "status quo." Several new buildings are dedicated but student enrollment continues to outpace construction efforts. IBM "machines" are first utilized by the newly created Office of the Registrar. Illicit drug usage on campus is a growing concern. This annual report is indicative of vast changes occurring on campus.
