dc.description.abstract | Valdosta State College observed the nation's Bicentennial in a variety of ways during the year. As did the nation, VSC looked both forward and backward in the Bi¬ centennial observance period from July, 1975, to July, 1976. On August 7, 1975, in connection with our designation as an official Bicentennial Campus, Congressman Dawson Mathis of the Second Dis¬trict presented the college an official Bicentennial flag. The President and the College Bicentennial Committee accepted the flag in a ceremony featuring the VSC Air Force ROTC cadets. | en_US |
