dc.description.abstract Letters of General Joseph R. Hawley to Charles Dudley Warner, The Hartford Daily Times, November 16, 1929. It becomes obvious in this publication that Charles Dudley Warner, dear friend of Joseph Roswell Hawley, is not as “in a hurry” to respond to Hawley’s letters as Hawley is in terms of writing them. Warner does, however, explain how he is starting to take some personal offense due to Hawley’s lack of letters due to him being so busy. Hawley begins to get frustrated because rarely does Warner reply, but he also expects letters constantly when he has a busy life, busier that Warner’s. Included in the letter of this publication is the introduction to Mr. Hooker, a relevant figure in Hawley’s life. He is an important person that comes up quite frequently in future letters. He is also a new friend of Hawley’s that he spends quite some time with. en_US
