dc.description.abstract | Letters of General Joseph R. Hawley to Charles Dudley Warner, The Hartford Daily Times, November 18, 1929. In terms of Hawley and his studying of law, it did not go as smoothly as he had expected. Some letters even indicated that he was having doubts about his ability to master the subject. He wrote to Warner that he would be unable to go to Clinton due to his obligation to go out of town to see about school. There, he was also busy with free soil party business, along with having a scheduled county meeting. The focus of this letter is Farmington, where Hawley had found his school. | en_US |
