Organized in 1833, this church is located in the third building constructed since its organization. The present building was constructed under the supervision of Mr. Canneth Yates. Transportation was a problem so he brought the workmen, stock and building material, and a food supply and they worked from Monday morning until Saturday night. This church is significant because of its age and the fact that its location helped to settle the area.
