Georgia Architectural and Historic Properties Survey of Barney [01] Hwy. 122, Cecil, Ga. December 1980. Barney Depot. A one story rectangular building with gabled tin roof, exposed rafters. Shiplap siding, hipped porch with square posts. Sash windows with 6/6 lights. Interior chimney. Brick piers. Poor condition. Date of Construction: c. 1857. The oldest known railroad depot.
