Collection of legal documents pertaining to real estate transfers and likely other legal matters from Thomasville lawyer Joseph Hansell Merrill (1862-1925) and possibly the law firm of Hansell & Merrill, which consisted of Thomasville lawyers Charles Paine “Charlie” Hansell (1844-1919) and Joseph Hansell Merrill, and also the law firm of Merrill & Grantham, which consisted of Merrill and young lawyer Charles Pinckney Grantham, which operated simultaneously with Merrill’s partnership with Hansell and his solo practice.
