dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this action research study was to determine how web-based communication and contact at Towns County Middle School enhanced parental involvement. This qualitative study included pre- and post-surveys completed by participating teachers and parents, email communication statistics, and PowerSchool parental access statistics. The results of the study were communicated to the administration, faculty, and stakeholders of Towns County Middle School at a Celebration. The results indicated that PowerSchool's parental access feature and email communication are useful tools to bridge the communication gap between home and school. The results were in accordance with findings observed in the literature review, which indicated that web-based systems could increase involvement and collaboration between home and school. | en_US |
