Abstract:
Library websites are public faces of the libraries on the Web and serve as online gateways to variety of resources and activities happening in the library. Usability of a library website play a critical role in enabling users to better use of library facilities and resources and in effectively allocating library resources. The panel surveyed a number of GA library websites in a Web Design class taught in the MLIS program at VSU and will report their findings. They will provide suggestions to make websites more usable and demonstrate how to develop more user friendly and Library 2.0 compliant websites with an open source software.
