Capt. William Broun, C.S.A., Forty-seventh Virginia Infantry, Stonewall Jackson's command, died in Washington on May 15. He was assistant adjutant and inspector general of Brockenbrough's Brigade, Heth's division, A.P. Hill's Corps, Army of Northern Virginia, C.S.A.
