dc.description.abstract The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of a computer assisted instructional program on integrating information literacy skills into the curriculum. Two third grade classes viewed a Power Point presentation about the Dewey Decimal System, interacted with a HyperStudio Assessment testing and reinforcing the information learned, and participated in a Hands-On Activity of locating books within the media center. The lesson, "Let's Do Dewey!", was taught using a team teaching approach. The teacher conducted the lesson while I, the media specialist, was on hand for demonstrations, questions, and examples. "Let's Do Dewey!" took place in the media center and lasted for approximately two hours. The results of the research showed benefits for the students, the teacher and me; therefore, more information literacy lessons will be created and implemented. en_US
