dc.description.abstract This item is a brochure that describe the Havana Cannery and the history of the Venue. The cannery was used during the Second World War to create over six million tons of canned goods for the American war effort. Following the war the cannery was forced to shut down due to financial concerns in the 1960s.The building was used to package honey until 1994 when it was sold to the cannery purchase. The files include newspapers from both 1946 and 1998 in addition to two brochures about the cannery.
